Pickens Museum of Art & History

Doodle Trail

This trail is a 8.5 mile long trail that is located between Easley and Pickens. Even though Pickens county does not does not authorize motor vehicles such as mopeds, but visitors can use the trail for biking, walking, running, and rollerblading. The path used to be a railroad in the late 1800s; in which, they used to transport goods such as food products, textiles, and automobile parts. The locals called the train Pickens Doodle because it could not turn around and it had to ride backwards like a doodle bug.
